You Ain't Seen Nothing Like the Old Mad River!

Established in 1972, Mad River/Stowe RFC is a men's rugby club based in the quintessential New England town of Stowe, VT.  Over the next 4 decades the club has competed in the US and Quebec and is currently competing in the New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU) 3rd Division.  

If you've played with us or against us you'll already know that while we leave it all on the field, "rugby" means much more than just a game to us.  We take pride in hosting a good jolly-up at the pitch or with one of our local sponsors. Many players have joined our club over the other Vermont rugby options because we're the hardest working club and also offer the best camaraderie.

2023 Spring/Summer Results​

June 3rd, 2023 - Cabot Cup hosted by Burlington RFC

Result: 2nd Place with victories over Amoskeag and South Shore

​June 17th, 2023 @ Black River

Result: Win 38-17

June 24th 2023 - 50th Mad River Rugby Tournament ​

Result: 2nd Place with victories over Burlington and Worcester
